Why would Obama make it harder for the U.S. to make and sell Carbon Fiber for Aerospace?

When the USA is certainly a leader in the development an use of these technologies?  It has to be a sacrifice to the altar of the Chinese. By removing the import tariff it makes American companies less competitive.

Aside from the great concern involving National Defense, why, in a struggling economy, would he make a move tat could jeopardise American jobs and possibly affect the security of defense manufacturing? Could it be anything other than politics?

This is at the same time that the U.S. military is discovering millions off  Chinese fake parts throughout all branches?

Below is a look at the Democrat sponsored bill and the uses for this material. Examples:

  •  Predator drone or a hand-launched ultralight observation craft
  • Bulkheads
  • Wing spars
  • Avionics containers
  • Access hatches
  • Honeycomb /  carbon fiber wingtips
  • Honeycomb / carbon fiber bulkheads
  • Landing gear doors
  • Armored personnel transport seats
  • Composite armor
  • Satellite dish cases
  • Composite antennas
From ACPSales Livermore, CA's website: "Composites have evolved into a major role in all types of aerospace applications. Nowhere has the growth been faster than in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. In both military and civilian applications, UAVs are used for observation, photography, communications, and as weapons-delivery platforms."
