Posts here can sometimes appear erratically but that's because I only decide to write what I really feel and whenI have something to say. Regarding this circus created by Obama and his procrastination for political gain and Pelosi and Reid with their big government "scare the voter base" techniques really have to make you wonder sometimes exactly what kind of a lifespan United States of America truly has.
I hate the idea that someday this great nation might be broken up into sections like some vast fire sale, and a small areas like MexiFornia, TexaFlorida, MainSylvania and vast western amalgamation of North Montana Oregonia might be and our geographical future.
It's sickening to think that because we have groups of people now numbering almost 49% of all citizens not paying any real income tax.A huge majority of these people all but believe the government should support them through their recreational life.
These unwitting pawns have been the catalyst or should I say battering ram that will be used to breach the the gates of our Republic if something isn't done in a positive yet dramatic way very soon.
I could easily blather on in some long diatribe about the degradation of social mores the distraction of the nuclear family the vast distances between family members the isolation from our neighbors and a media that lives to promote situational ethics little consequence. those articles have been written ad nauseam by writers far more insightful and able than I..
Don't get me wrong, I have not lost hope. I think that this very well may be an opportunity for this country to prove its mettle just like World War II and of course just like birth of this country.
We need to find a new founding fathers and mothers and sisters and brothers.
They need to be firmly grounded in the ideals of this Republic and the aspirations of freedom and the pursuit of happiness for all the citizens. But that being said we need to remember that pursuit is a funny thing, if the honor is truly in the attempt then it's the pursuit and not the achievement of happiness that really counts. our founding fathers didn't use the phrase "the achievement of happiness", the phrase is the pursuit of happiness. Big difference.
After all what is happiness? Happiness is a fleeting moment when you have that perfect ice cream cone or hear some great news for you walk into that amusement park the first time his nine-year-old. At happiness fleeting moments.
The problem is I think that the moments in between these fleeting moments of happiness have been unfairly derided because maybe they weren't filled with the flash and the excitement of the most recent thrilling occurrence. In some ways I think we become like the animal in a cage that hits the tab because it knows the pellicle, so we just sit, and hit the tab for the pellet. Eventually the bin full of pellets needs refilled. This is where I'm reminded of the quotation from Margaret Thatcher "Socialism is fine until you run out of the other guy's money"..
Like I said I remain hopeful that this great Republic which is been paid for by the blood of my family and yours by a collective American ancestors meant something and still mean something. Where the spoiled brats of the world not because we don't deserve the items that we've earned but because we don't recognize the value in learning we shouldn't feel guilty about our competence America hasn't made by dirt and trees rivers and valleys. Dirt and trees and rivers and valleys on every continent Americans made by the pursuit of happiness by the respect of others by the dreams that we hold by the belief that we hold self-evident and buyer aspirations to build something better. But stop feeling guilty for being Americans must just encourage others and I said encourage not force or cajole or badger others but let's encourage others to follow a similar path because they certainly have the rivers to dirt the trees Parsippany this country right where they are.
Again completely unedited. But I never aspired to write things in a pretty way.
God bless the United States of America.
